CPLANE.ai has joined The Open Group which leads the development of open, vendor-neutral technology standards and certifications.
CPLANE is part of the Open Process Automation Forum, which is focused on the development of a standards-based, open, secure, interoperable process control architecture.
According to CPLANE Chief Technology Officer, John Casey, “An essential element of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is the ability to not only orchestrate and integrate the underlying edge cloud technologies that enable IIoT, but also to create a seamless overlay of the applications and processes to optimize business operations. This can only occur with a robust framework for an open systems architecture that delivers true process automation.”
“CPLANE is honored to join a distinguished group of industry-leading companies such as American Express, Boeing, Chevron, ExxonMobil, GE, Intel, Lockheed Martin Corporation and Schneider Electric in the creation of new frameworks and standards that will unleash the promise of Industrial IoT,” said Brandon Williams, CEO of CPLANE. “The power of the Forum lies in its rich cross section of industries, coupled with the truly consensus-based model of The Open Group.”
CPLANE.ai will participate in both the Business Working Group and the Technology Group to share our expertise in distributed systems and edge cloud orchestration.
