Steve Nunn, CEO and President of The Open Group, just published a look back at 2018 and a look at what’s in store for 2019. As a member of the Open Process Automation Forum (OPAF), CPLANE.ai would like to extend our congratulations to Steve and all the people and member companies that have invested time and effort to deliver a wealth of standards that will shape the future of many industries.
Participating in OPAF has provided tremendous value for CPLANE.ai. As a small company, it gives us great insight into the challenges that face global industrial companies. Having the opportunity to explore these challenges firsthand with leaders in industrial process automation provides a unique perspective that you simply can’t get from industry journals and analysts. To all the OPAF participants, we say thank you!
On the other side of the coin, we’d like to “toot our own horn”, so to speak. Our CEO, Brandon Williams co-chairs the Business Outreach committee and has provided valuable market insight and messaging that promotes the work that OPAF is doing. And John Casey, our CTO, co-chairs the Systems Management and Orchestration working group, and has co-authored many of the standards and templates.
Changing the face of industrial process automation is not an overnight task. But with the body of work that OPAF is producing, the future looks very bright. We’re proud to be a participant in that future!
